Glassics is based on the principle of structural glazing and is an outstanding system solution for glass rainscreen cladding. This novel technique is the very first rainscreen cladding system to offer a solution for frameless glass façade cladding that is not only economical, but also very easy to install.
Furthermore this integrated system developed by experts offers endless possibilities for architectural design.
In order to meet all the requirements of glass rainscreen claddings, two different kinds of systems were developed.
Glassics System G1
System G1 is designed around a unique and simple construction system based on our "glass panel security device" and incorporating milled horizontal glass edges.
Glassics System G2
System G2 has been specifically designed to create large format glass panels in excess of our G1 System. Any glass panels installed above 8 meters are fastened mechanically with a patented Steindl Glass security system.

max. 3.000 mm x 1.300 mm in standard format,
customized formats and sizes are available.
Off-site at our factories in Austria aluminium hook-on profiles are bonded into the horizontal grooves in a quality- assured environment, giving piece of mind that this controlled process will invisibly support the dead loads required.
The glass panels are fitted to the Allface designed aluminium substructure, secured and adjusted to suit our flexible system. Our system is based on continuous open joints as required by standard rainscreen systems.

Glassics System G2
Quality of glass
Thoughened glass (Heat-soak tested) 8mm
Size of glass panels
max. 2.500 mm x 5.000 mm with vertical and horizontal format.
Joints with a minimum width of 6-10 mm remain opened or closed with joint profiles.
